On April 8th, 2017 the Rotary Club of Ajax, in partnership with Kids Against Hunger Canada, the Forest Brook Community Church, McEachnie Funeral Home and a team of community volunteers, executed the Club's 4th food packing event.

This year volunteers packaged 58,000 meals bringing the Club's four year total to 250,000 meals purchased, packaged and and distributed. One half of the food supplies were donated to Feed the Need Durham which will distribute the meals to its member agencies in Durham Region.  The rest will be, or have been sent to areas in need including Baffin Island in Canada and international locations.

Special thanks to Forest Brook Church which donated the space, McEachnie Funeral Home which provided food and beverages for the volunteers and donors Rotarians Marsha Jones Dooley and Steve King Senior.  Special thanks to Axalta Corporation, Ajax High School, TD Canada Trust (Salem Road) and RBC (Harwood Ave. South) who all came with enthusiastic teams of volunteers.
