May 15, 2026 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
On Friday May 16, the club will be working with We Grow Food Durham (who we have supported financially in the past) to ready a local community garden for spring planting at
The main tasks for the day will include assembling raised beds, installing a couple of cattle fence trellises, adding soil and compost to the 12 existing beds, and planting those beds as they should be ready to go. You’re not required to bring anything (other than suitable clothing for gardening!), but if you happen to have access to a drill or a wheelbarrow and would like to bring it along, that would be helpful, though not a necessity. Please indicate your availability for this event by contacting any member of the board; you need not stay for the entire time. This event is being in conjunction with Rotary's Epic Day of Service |
