During the 70's, Ajax Rotary carried on its tradition of hard work in an effort to live up to its motto:

"SERVICE ABOVE SELF"

1970:

Ajax Rotary donates $1,000 for disaster relief in East Pakistan, following a devastating tornado.

1972:

The Club raises $2,100 during its Easter Seal Campaign.

1972-1973:

Ajax Rotary pledged a $2,000 contribution to help with the A.R.C. Industries Building project.

1974:

Rotarians contribute, and assist with the distribution of food hampers to needy families in Ajax.

1974-1975:

Ajax Rotary donates $1,450 for the purchase of a lawn tractor and toilets for Rotary Park.

1975:

The Club donates a piano to the Ajax Public Library.

1978:

Ajax Rotary was honoured to serve as the host to Lieutenant-Governor Pauline McGibbon.

1979:

Rotarian hold a "Tree Planting Bee" at Rotary Park.

Ajax Rotarians collect and send books to schools in Trinidad.
